This is a wonderful organic cotton ribbing, an opaque mid-weight knit with a rib stitch that looks the same on both sides. This fabric is Oeko-Tex certified as well as organic, assuring non-toxic fibers, chemicals and dyes. It has about 30% widthwise stretch and is stable lengthwise. The color is a stunning russet red. Note the narrower width, which is typical with ribs. This ribbing pairs perfectly with our line of organic cotton fleece-backed sweatshirt knits and is great for collars, cuffs and hems or for casual separates, knit tops, loungewear, a sweater dress, etc. So soft! Machine wash gentle, hang to dry or tumble on low, do not bleach.
